About Reine Halaby

Founder

Reine Halaby is a 16-year-old Makassed Ali Bin Abi Taleb School student from Lebanon. Reine defines herself as "hardworking," meaning that she will not give up until it is accomplished if she sets her mind to anything. She competes in STEM contests such as the WER 2019 World Championship, which she won in China, and the 2019 Alesco Olympics Competition, held in Egypt (awarded second place), and the Raspberry Pi Competition. Reine earned two bronze prizes in science fairs with the Makassed Association between 2013 and 2017. Reine participates in art fairs, kickboxing, and basketball in her neighborhood. She's been a scout since 2012 and helps rebuild Beirut by volunteering in local neighborhoods.

Reine Halaby is a visionary young woman. Her goal is to make the world a better place, but she ensures that her words become deeds. Nowadays, most teenagers have created an alternate reality for themselves to escape the real world, only to discover that it is even worse. She wants to break this never-ending cycle and help people realize the positive aspects of technology while saving their environment and working on the SDGs. She has faith in herself and others. She surfed and soared even in the darkest of nights and the worst of storms, and so can you! She thinks that anybody, regardless of their circumstances, is capable of achieving their ambitions. She aspires to be a role model and inspiration for all teenagers and children who, like her once, are in need of light.
